Most organisations treat governance as a secondary layer a process applied after the suppliers are engaged and the capital is already flowing. For others, governance is a legacy they inherited rather than a system they built.
Even carefully designed structures fail when the designer holds a conflict of interest. When neutrality is absent, governance serves the system rather than the enterprise.
The challenge is rarely a lack of tools or suppliers. It is the absence of a deliberate architecture built by a partner whose fee does not change based on which supplier wins, how many contractors are placed, or which platform is selected. When the adviser has no stake in the execution, governance and accountability finally become the same thing.
Governance designed from the start performs. Governance inherited or added afterwards manages damage. We fix both.
